About Ross Homes & Drafting
A Family Building for Families
Some families pass down heirlooms. Ours passed down tools, lessons, and a way of treating people. We build homes the way we were taught to live: be honest, do good work, and leave things better than you found them.

Where the building lessons started
Travis Ross learned to swing a hammer the same way most kids learn to throw a ball. Grandpa set the pace. Dad set the standard.
Travis grew up on job sites where lunch came out of an ice chest and the measure of a day was whether the line ran straight and the site was cleaner than you found it. Those early years taught him two truths that still guide our family.
Wood doesn’t lie. Your word shouldn’t either.

Learning the trade the long way
Travis spent years framing houses big and small, building the future home of families and love ones.
The rules never changed. Show up. Do what you said you would do. Take pride in the small fixes that prevent the big problems.
Starting our own shop in Huntington, Texas
When it came time to build a company, Travis started close to home in Huntington, Texas. We found our rhythm there: sitting with families to draft and model their plans so everyone could see the dream clearly, writing down prices with no surprises, and keeping one set of hands accountable so jobs stayed steady even when the weather didn’t.

Alissa’s steady hand in the office
Alissa brought the heartbeat to that rhythm. She runs the office most days and keeps the work humane. Scheduling, permits, invoices, selections, and the calls that calm a worry before it grows. If she doesn’t have an answer, she finds it faster than your coffee cools. She also pours time into local FFA students, helping them learn responsibility, leadership, and the value of real work.

Moving to Hemphill and rooting in Sabine County
As word spread from the lakes and the countryside, our family moved to Hemphill to put down deeper roots.
We wanted to serve Sabine County with homes that neighbors talk about for the right reasons. Around here, you’ll see Travis serving as a boat captain for the High School Bass Club and cheering on Kane at weigh-ins. You’ll see Alissa with the Hemphill FFA, sleeves rolled up, helping students prep for a show or a presentation.
We build houses, but the truth is we’re building a life here with our neighbors.
